DIA Awarded $1.25M Direct to Phase II SBIR with AFWERX

DIA will collaborate Air Combat Command (ACC) to expand the environmental operating conditions for our real-time salivary cortisol sensor

Newark, NJ – DIA (legal name: E-Sentience, Inc.) announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a SBIR Direct-to-Phase II contract in the amount of $1,249,993.00 focused on our real-time salivary cortisol sensor to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The views expressed are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the Department of the Air Force, the Department of Defense, or the U.S. government.

“DIA is honored to begin working with ACC to use real-time cortisol sensing to help pilots monitor, manage and optimize their cognitive and physical performance. We are excited to continue to show that our technology is truly groundbreaking in its capability to make biomarker sensing de cada dia – every day.”

About DIA

DIA is building a platform technology that uses non-invasive devices to measure key biomarkers of health and human performance in real time. Our first product is a portable device that measures cortisol in a 0.1 mL sample of saliva. Cortisol is a steroid hormone made by the kidneys that is commonly referred to as “the stress hormone,” as cortisol levels rise in states of both acute and chronic physical & emotional stress. DIA envisions a world where individuals can measure a panel of biomarkers de cada dia – every day – in minutes and at an affordable cost, to improve mental, physical and emotional wellness.
